Easy Problems

Fraction to Percent: 3/50 = ? Answer: 6%
Explanation: Make 3/50 into a porportion with x/100 (3/50=x/100) 50 multiplied by 2 gets you to a hundred, so now you do the same to the 3. (50*2=100/3*2=6) The answer becomes 6/100. Now that the fraction is out of a hundred you just take the numerator (6) and add a percent sign on the right (6%).

Percent to Decimal: 50% = ? Answer: 0.5
Explanation: The percent sign becomes a decimal (50.) Then you move the decimal two places to the left (.50) The added 0 can be deleted (.5)
